Marvin Miles is a corporate trainer for JH Miles & Associates, Inc. and an entrepreneur. Marvin earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Morehouse College and an M.B.A from Virginia Tech. Since graduation, Marvin has had a multi-faceted business career, including corporate experience in finance as a corporate and commercial real estate underwriter and as a portfolio manager with a large pension fund. In addition, for more than two decades, Marvin has built and grown a number of small businesses in the insurance, real estate, and health care markets. These disparate professional experiences give Marvin a nuanced and unique perspective on organizational behavior, team building, conflict management, communication skills, and leadership development.

As an instructor for JH Miles & Associates, Inc., Marvin has paired his work experience and lessons learned with the core principles and best practices in the learning and development field to successfully design and deliver training programs for the National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA), Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Forest Service (FS), and The Graduate School USA. At JHMA, Marvin is also instrumental in the development of interactive training classes and exercises. He is a certified Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessor and has administered and coached the Leadership Effectiveness Inventory 360-degree assessment.

Outside of his professional work, Marvin enjoys cooking, watching NFL football, listening to music, and reading. He has a strong passion for studying AI tools and their potential applications in business and education. Marvin is married to his lovely wife and best friend, Deana, and they live in the Richmond, Virginia area.
