A lifelong resident of Southwest Virginia, Tarah Kesterson joined Virginia Clean Cities in February 2025 as the Clean Communities and Economic Development Director for Southwest Virginia. Tarah serves the region west of Roanoke and meets with communities, fleets, and businesses about clean fuels and opportunities to deploy them. She is a 2003 graduate of Emory & Henry College, now University. Tarah lives in Bristol with her husband Dennis, daughter Marcie and their cat Bertie.
